Ironwood is the vision of brothers George and Alan Strott, two lifelong Howard County locals with deep roots in the community and a shared passion for hospitality.
For George, the restaurant industry has been a part of life since he was 14 years old. After decades spent learning the business from the inside out, he’s bringing that experience to the kitchen at Ironwood—creating honest, thoughtfully prepared food that feels familiar while still giving you something to come back for.
Alan brings his own years of experience as a local businessman, along with a strong background in hospitality and a genuine love for bringing people together. While George leads the kitchen, Alan keeps everything beyond it moving, making sure Ironwood feels just as welcoming as the food coming out of it.
Together, the brothers wanted to create the kind of restaurant they felt Highland deserved: approachable enough to become your regular neighborhood spot, but special enough for the nights you want to stay awhile, order another round, and enjoy a great meal.
